A Space SHMUP game based on the framework provided by Jeremy Gibson Bond in Introduction to Game Design Prototype and Development (2nd edition) 

I extended the base game by adding 4 new weapons: A Phaser which fires two bolts that move in a sin wave; A laser which in this case is simply a more powerful blaster; A Cannon which fires a powerful single shot; and a Missile with low damage, but which will track its target and explode on impact

Most enemies will fire at the player, and the player has variable level shields as which to absorb enemy fire.

There is also a new Boss Ship, which is... lets just say powerful.


WASD or Arrow Keys to move, Space bar to fire:

Pick up glowing powerup cubes to gain additional weapons, or replenish depleted shields. Picking up multiple weapons of the same type will grant additional firepower
